We established Plascompo in 2015 after more than 25 years of working for other people in the plastic components industry.
We specialise in helping businesses to find practical solutions to protect their manufactured products. Our aim is simply to offer excellent customer service by delivering quality products on time at an attractive price.
By working with industry-respected manufacturers from around the world, we’re able to bring our customers a wide choice of quality products. In addition to our standard product range, we can source almost anything in plastic.
Our central location, close to the M1 in Sheffield, gives us quick and easy access to businesses across the country.

Many supply companies in the plastics and components industry strive to make doing business a non-contact event, but at Plascompo, we positively encourage contact.

Ensuring our customers get value for money is a priority for us. We understand that not every customer requires large volumes, which is why we’re flexible with quantities. We don’t have a minimum order value or charge a hefty premium on low-volume orders.

Meet our experienced team
Grant Hopkinson
I’ve worked in the protective plastics industry since 1987, working my way up from general manager to managing director and now owner-director. My work has taken me across the world, from Europe to the US and beyond.
I enjoy using my knowledge and experience to help customers find the perfect solution for their requirements in a way that makes buying plastic components easy.
I also enjoy playing golf, and I’m president of my golf society.
Kevin Taylor
I’ve been part of the plastic components industry for over 30 years in a variety of roles, from sales and customer service to warehouse management and purchasing.
In 2015, I co-founded Plascompo with friend and colleague Grant Hopkinson. Our aim is to make buying plastic components as easy as possible – delivering products on time and at an attractive price.
I’m a keen cricketer and enjoy walking my dog, Teddy.
Ian Dowle
I joined Plascompo in 2017 and shortly after become a director. Previously I’ve worked in roles covering everything from warehouse management to telephone sales and customer service.
I share the same ethos as my colleagues at Plascompo – to put the customer first. We want to make buying plastic components straightforward and stress-free for our customers.
Outside work, I enjoy playing crown-green bowls.
Teddy
I’m Teddy – the office dog at Plascompo. You’ll usually find me under Kev’s desk in my bed relaxing.
The observant among you may have noticed that I only have one eye! After a short illness, I had to have my eye removed, but everyone agrees that I still look pretty sharp, and it means I get lots of extra cuddles from visitors.
I enjoy long walks and belly rubs!
